As many of you know I have been very ill for over a year and a half now. I have gone to many doctors, spent lots of time and money, had lots and lots of tests, been on lots of medication etc. All to have treatments doctors give me for diagnosis such as tyroid problems, hormone problems, adernal fatigue, fibromaylgia etc etc to not work nor help. For the past few months I have gotten worse..well it actually ebbs and flows the intense pain and the general feeling like shit daily, having no energy, and so on. But the past two months have been the roughest out of all of it. This weekend I had a ray of hope glimmer on me when a good friends of ours asked us if I had been properly tested for Lymes Disease. My answer was yes at the begining of all this..but I don't know if it was the right test or not. After lots of research this weekend ALL the signs and arrows pointed more and more to everything I have been suffering from to indeed be Lymes Disease and yes in fact the test I had 1.5yrs was indeed the wrong type and on top of it done WRONG. To make a long story short..we shorter than it could be...I made a phone call yesterday and because of our friends I got refered from one office to another where "they weren't taking on new cases/patients"...but Mitch said he would see me (and for free!). Mitch is my angel in all of this. Mitch is a Lymes activist, pharmacist, and has served on many differnt Lyme boards for many years. He is the "middle man" if you will between me and the Dr. He makes sure my meds are right and I am tolerating them ok etc. Through the grace of god or an act of divine intervention Mitch had me come down and fill out some paper work. Then he called the Lymes Disease specialist Dr. in town and got me in at 3:00 yesterday. Which is pretty amazing. Dr. Johnson is the ONLY Lymes Dr..here (and in fact people come from all over the USA to see him) and IS NOT and I mean NOT seeing new patients. No ifs and or butts. Well I am now his patient and this morning blood was drawn to be sent to a lab (at a prepaid cost of a REALLY REALLY nice FULLY restored Kenner mind you!) that ONLY works with or does Lymes testing. I have already started my first round of antibiotics (many of them...it is quite confusing but I will get it down) and we will wait for the test results (2-3 weeks). I just pray this is the answer and that I can get better! I can't tell you all how sick I am of being sick! Anyways just wanted to update everyone in my journey and also appologize for being behind on some stuffs and not replying to FMs or emails in the past few weeks. I have been pretty down and out and oh sooo not feeling well. Thanks! xo
